I know Iraq is a touchy subject. Some favor the war some don't. A prominent politician went on T.V. today to denounce Iraq. He had voted to go into Iraq. He was in Vietnam and visited the wounded veterans from Iraq all the time. I saw the real anguish on his face as he spoke out. This was not political.....It was personal. It touched me. I have never been in war....I can only imagine. I really would like to see us complete our mission. We went into Iraq. I would like to see us honor our fallen soldiers. I would like to see their mission completed. If that's not possible.....I agree with that politician.- End soap box
I have to get a DNA sample taken for my passport application. I suppose it's all for the better. It is a pain in the rear though. Uncle Sam doesn't know what it's like to have an already angry snydy breathing down your neck to get one. There is a good reason for the angry part but that's a story for another blog. I finally saw another friend of mines little one. He is very cute and fills me with hope for the future. We don't see them as much. Perhaps someday we'll be closer when all our lives aren't so busy. We can trade comments in the retirement home. It's all good though. ......Peace-C
