So I have another birthday come and gone. I think birthdays are nice when your young or have kids. Other than that it's just another number. I always think it's a special day. Yet I really don't care about it. It was nice day though. I got carded at a liquor store the other day. It was nice. When I was younger it was annoying. Now it's like a compliment! Another number........ And I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
I'm reading a lot of news lately. I honestly feel like it's all blended into one story. Nothing I've read has struck me as profound. I think the news media needs a different angle. We are no more aware of things with them than without them. I mean it's nice to know what's going on. The only problem is the whole story is never told. We accept what is given. So I guess that's how it is. That really is everything. We as people accept a lot. We need a change. Not in politics,news, policy. We need a change in culture in America. It needs to honor our past, celebrate our freedom, move us forward. I really feel like we are tuning out as we spin our wheels. Accepting more, demanding less. That's not what my America is about.
